Driving cost-efficient mAb manufacturing through scalable, connected membrane chromatography

Reduction in biologics manufacturing COGS is challenged by traditional resin-based downstream processes. A collaboration between Enzene and Sartorius sought to evaluate membrane chromatography as an alternative to reduce costs and equipment footprint.  Evaluation of the performance for a fully connected purification workflow using Sartobind membranes demonstrated significant improvements in product recovery rates, HCP and DNA reduction, aggregate removal, and operational efficiency.  The case study explores the study, its application and the value of complementary expertise.
